Tenby in Pembrokeshire in South Wales is a town with an ancient history, more of which can be found at the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, which shows the many faces of Tenby over the years.
Tenby has a range of gift (and seaside shops) located near the famous Five Arches, which form part of Tenby’s impressive medieval walls, which once formed part of the walled town. Parking can be found opposite the Five Arches.
Tenby is a small seaside town which can be best seen just by walking around, as most of the town has small streets or is pedestrianized.
You will also find some great restaurants.
Tudor Manor House Tenby - has been restored to its 1500 heyday and is an excellent example of a three-storey town house. A wealthy Tudor merchant once lived and worked in the Manor House.
Tenby Shops - has some great small boutiques and major branded shops, to a useful supermarket and the Royal-Chartered indoor market in the center of town, you'll find everything you need within easy walking distance.
Tenby Harbour - Tenby's picturesque harbour (one of the most photographed images of Tenby), is built into a corner on North Beach - just look at the pretty painted houses on the street above. The harbour is located between the old medieval walled town and Castle Hill.
A small sandy beach is located at the harbour wall and is perfect for very young children to have fun and play on under adult supervision.
